The benefits of Turmeric and Curcumin are widely known amongst the rich and famous. Notably Hollywood and British actor Michael Caine who whose most famous line was “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off” uses Curcumin daily. He said that he uses a Curcumin supplement to ward off ageing and help his memory. He is married to an Indian lady and Caine noticed that there’s not a lot Alzheimer’s disease in India.
“I looked into what they (Indian People) got and didn’t get. And one of the things they don’t get is Alzheimer’s”

New York actress and star of Quantico, Priyanka Chopra, 33, originally cut her teeth as a Bollywood actress before finding fame in the United States. She is the first South Asian woman to play a lead in an American network television series. Her beauty regime also includes a Turmeric face mask which she said she often uses when she is flying. She uses fresh yogurt as a the mask with a little Turmeric added to it.
Paltrow and the coming of ‘Golden Milk’
If slathering Turmeric over your face is not for you then you could take a leaf out ‘Sliding Doors’ and ‘Shallow Hal’ star Gwyneth Paltrow whose favourite non alcoholic tipple is a Turmeric latte. In fact, the Turmeric latte is not just a drink, its a fashion statement in coffee bars around the world. Paltrow’s favourite recipe is to make the Turmeric latte with almond milk, ginger, coconut sugar, coconut oil and of last but not least the Turmeric. You can however create your own recipes using different milks such as soy, rice, coconut and cashew as well as adding different spice, maybe cinnamon or even chili?
A newspaper report in The Sun newspaper august 2017 reported that Starbucks stores in London were due to start selling Turmeric lattes called ‘Golden Milk’ and the drinks would rolled out across Britain if the drinks caught on. If Starbucks don’t have it in your area, then you can always make one at home with a Turmerlicious sachet below.
Turmeric is not just a coffee, it also comes as a tea. Tom Mitchell won a silver medal representing Great Britain in the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the current (2017) captain of the England 7s Rugby Union team and he advocates drinking Turmeric tea in the dressing room as well as playing Elvis. I think he’s referring to the music and not a player. Thank you very much.
